Cabinet ministers’ powers transferred to PM to efficiently tackle virus crisis

The cabinet has approved a draft announcement transferring the power of ministers to the prime minister to ensure efficient handling of the Covid-19 crisis, government spokesman Anucha Burapachaisri said on Tuesday.

“The temporary transfer of power is limited to efforts to prevent the further transmission of the outbreak, mitigating the impacts and providing assistance to the public,” he said.

The announcement covers 31 pieces of legislation:
