Thailand face Taiwan in Asian volleyball showdown

Thailand face Taiwan in their final Pool C match at the 2026 AVC Men’s Volleyball Continental Championship in Fukuoka at 11.30am Thai time, live on Monomax.

Thailand are set to play Taiwan in their final Pool C match of the AVC Men’s Volleyball Continental Championship.
The match takes place on Wednesday in Fukuoka, Japan, with Thailand aiming to remain unbeaten in the preliminary round.
Thailand, ranked 49th in the world, have already secured a place in the quarter-finals after victories over Qatar and South Korea.
The team's previous wins include a straight-sets victory against Qatar and a five-set win over South Korea.

Thailand will look to complete the preliminary round unbeaten when they face Taiwan in their final Pool C match of the 2026 AVC Men’s Volleyball Continental Championship on Wednesday (September 9).

The match in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, is scheduled to begin at 1.30pm local time, or 11.30am in Thailand.

Thailand, currently ranked 49th in the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Ranking, have already secured a place in the quarter-finals after winning their opening two matches.

They began their campaign with a straight-sets victory over Qatar on September 5, winning 25-22, 25-19 and 25-14.

Thailand then overcame South Korea in five sets on September 7. After taking the opening two sets 25-18 and 25-16, they lost the next two 20-25 and 22-25 before recovering to take the deciding set 15-12 and seal a 3-2 victory.
