People in Chonburi affected by smoke from cannabis cultivation facility
Smoke from a commercial building used for cultivating cannabis in Chonburi’s Bang Lamung district caused an impact on locals and tourists nearby on Thursday night.
The incident occurred around 10pm when a fire broke out on the second floor of the building, which belongs to Little Christiania.
Officials launched fire trucks and it took half an hour to extinguish the flame. Though nobody was injured, smoke from cannabis caused people to develop headaches and laugh without reason.
The building caretaker Kanjana Fangsanthia (40) expects the incident to have occurred due to a short circuit, saying that the damage would be around 200,000 baht.
