98,900 voters register for advance voting: EC
Thailand’s Election Commission says 98,900 voters registered on December 20 to cast ballots in advance, with most opting to vote outside their constituencies and 8,361 registering from overseas.
The Office of the Election Commission (EC) announced on Sunday that 98,900 voters registered on the first day to cast their ballots in advance.
The EC has opened registration for advance voting from December 20 to January 5.
By 5pm on Saturday, December 20, 98,900 voters had registered as follows:
- 48 voters registered to vote in advance in their constituencies
- 90,491 registered to vote in advance outside their constituencies
- 8,361 registered to vote in advance from outside Thailand
