Thailand take perfect record into ASEAN Cup semi-final in Singapore
Thailand face Singapore at Jalan Besar Stadium in the first leg of their ASEAN Hyundai Cup semi-final, with kick-off at 8pm Thailand time on August 15.
The match will kick off at 8pm Thailand time, or 9pm in Singapore, and will be broadcast live on the TrueVisions Now application.
Thailand advanced as Group B winners after completing a perfect group-stage campaign with four victories from four matches and no goals conceded.
The War Elephants opened their campaign with a 5-0 away win over Laos on July 25 before defeating Malaysia 2-0 at home on August 1. They then secured a 1-0 victory away to the Philippines on August 4 and completed the group stage with a 2-0 home win over Myanmar on August 8.
Singapore reached the semi-finals as Group A runners-up after going unbeaten in their four group matches, recording two victories and two draws.
The Lions beat Cambodia 2-1 away on July 24 and defeated Timor-Leste 2-0 at home three days later. They subsequently earned a goalless draw away to Vietnam on July 31 before securing their place in the last four with a 1-1 home draw against Indonesia on August 7.
The first-leg encounter will therefore pit Thailand’s perfect group-stage record against a Singapore side that also reached the knockout phase without defeat.
