Where DJs say only nice things

Where DJs say only nice things

Matt Damon and Clint Eastwood went public to formally withdraw their admiration for President Barack Obama and it didn't hurt their careers, but don't try this at home, kids.

Theema “Judge” Kanchanapairin is out of a job after posting four “Judge Judd” videos online that hammered the Flood Relief Operation Centre for perceived mismanagement.
Judge’s employer, PD Creation, first suspended him from DJ duties at FM 90Mhz and then on Monday slammed the door.
But a million people have seen the videos and plenty of folks listened to his radio show, so the uproar on Twitter was loud, especially “re: freedom of speech”.
PD Creation’s response: Judge wasn’t allowed to criticise others because DJs have to be neutral to avoid damaging the company’s image.
That’s another difference between Thailand and the US. PD should hear the rabidly political rabid “talk radio” in the States. It’s not so much neutrality as nut-reality.

Janie Thienposuwan, Alisha Laisatruklai, Cris and Ploy Horwang, Jan Suda Panto and Nana Rybina and her hubby Way Thaitanium are meeting more often than usual, but not for extra shopping and dining out. They’ve got a “Help Us Help You” project going for flood victims that takes them to afflicted areas.
Janie recently visited evacuees at Wat Nong Khem School on behalf of L’Oreal and carted along goodies from her own band of helpers as well.
“We spend our own money to provide flood-relief packages and other stuff, but we also accept contributions,” she says, like in Siam Square a week ago when they were rattling donation boxes.
“We do everything we can. It wouldn’t feel right doing nothing. It’s exhausting, but when we get home we sleep like a log!”
Janie has little to say when reporters quiz her about her career and love life, but ask her about this project and she’s a flood of details. Send donations to “Chuay Duay Chuay Kan” (Help Us Help You) at the SCB, account number 247-2-72576-3. You can tweet her as well via @janiethien.
