NEW APP TO HELP DEAL WITH EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

NEW APP TO HELP DEAL WITH EMERGENCY SITUATIONS

A group of local software companies has joined hands with Do D Club and FM91 to encourage people to get connected with the call centres of emergency organisations, by introducing a mobile application called 'i-Lert-u Do D' for smart phones.

The application, developed by a local software firm Arunsawad Dot Com, aims to allow smart-phone users to send alerts or ask for assistance from the emergency agencies immediately. With the capability of the location-based feature of smart phones, the application will identify peoples’ location along with their requests.

The application is now available on only iOS platform, but next year it will support the Android platform as well. Under the ‘i-Lert-u Do D’ app, people can inform or ask for help in seven categories: food and beverage, emergency medical, dangerous animals, crime and theft, corruption, utilities problem, routes. CT Asia will provide call-centre software and system for the project.
