Mazda upbeat on outlook of BT-50 Pro

Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd. has received more than 4,000 orders, almost triple of the planned retail target per month, for the all-new Mazda BT-50 Pro Pickup truck just within 2 weeks of its official launch.


 

 

Choichi Yuki, managing director of Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd, said that the All New Mazda BT-50 PRO, which was officially launched on January 24, will become another best-selling model from Mazda. “Just within 2 weeks after the launch, we have received more than 4,000 orders through our dealers, and some number of vehicles have already been delivered to the customers.” he said.
 Sales in January have grown by 27 per cent to 3,812 units and it comprise of 3,097 Mazda2 Elegance, 4-door and Sports, 5-door vehicles, up 76 per cent compared to the same period last year and equivalent to a 16.2 percent market share, 353 units of the all-new Mazda3 2.0L and 360 units of the all-new Mazda BT-50 Pro.

Sureetip La-Ongthong Chomthongdee, marketing director at Mazda Sales (Thailand) Co Ltd, attributed the high demand to a new TV commercial and the product positioning as "Passenger car-Like". Recently, the company also took 80 journalists to test drive from Udon Thani to Luangprabang in Laos.
