PTT gets two-year Laos contract

PTT has secured a two-year contract to supply petroleum products to Lao State Fuel Company. Saran Rangkasiri, senior executive vice president of PTT, said the contract is valued at Bt1.6 billion

Both also signed a memorandum of understanding for a jet-fuel service study. This contract would strengthen both companies’ business, which covers Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, as well as expand brand awareness and PTT product sales in Indochina, under the strategy to become the top regional brand.

Tax returns
The Revenue Department is set to start receiving tax payments from individuals who file their tax forms for this year.
The department will this month set up booths in department stores and key state agency buildings to receive tax payments by individuals who have to file annual tax returns. The department is also offering a similar service in the provinces, said Jitmanee Suwannapool, a spokeswoman of the department.

Invite for top job
Somchai Sujjapongse, director-general of the Fiscal Policy Office, said the office wants to invite more candidates to submit their resumes for the top job of National Savings Fund secretary-general. The last day to submit applications is Tuesday. The applicants have to have experience in financial investment and hold at least a bachelor’s degree. The universal pension fund is expected to be created this year and the office predicts 500,000 people will join the scheme, which will be partly financed by the government.
