Pheu Thai wants autocracy not democracy
The Pheu Thai Party is in a hurry to help Thaksin Shinawatra get off the hook by extraordinary means: rewriting the country's constitution.
Furthermore, the party also shows intentions to rewrite the basic law in a way that Thailand will be turned into an autocracy – not a democracy.
However, even if Pheu Thai wins by majority might, it doesn’t mean Thaksin is right. He will be the first Thai to be seen as shirking his citizen’s responsibility and showing disrespect for the country’s law by using mob rule. He will be the subject of scorn by all fair-minded Thais.
Hence, the best way is for Thaksin to face and solve his problem in a civilised and manly manner – not by mob instigation as it is.
