Amway sees brisk sales in espring

Amway Thailand, the country's leading direct-sales operator, targets Bt2.1 billion in sales this year from eSpring water treatment, alongside two other flagship products, Nutrilite supplements and Artistry skincare and cosmetic products.

Managing director Kittawat Ritteerawee said Thai consumers were paying more attention to detail when it came to the health of their families. As urban areas keep expanding and the number of small families continues to rise, the popularity of water treatment for home use also increases.

The value of the water-treatment market this year is estimated at Bt3.7 billion, Kittawat said. Amway expects eSpring to generate sales of Bt2.1 billion, more than 50 per cent of the total market. So far, Amway has sold more than 500,000 water-treatment units to Thai households.

Benefits

He added that eSpring offered several benefits that meet customers’ needs, including high performance in removing contaminants and eliminating micro-organisms.

Marketing director Ratana Channara said the company also offered excellent after-sales service by Amway business owners. They are ready to provide professional service when a product needs repair and maintenance or replacement parts.

"With all these key strengths, the needs of users are well met," she added.

She said eSpring would be one of the company’s flagship products in the health business this year, alongside Nutrilite and Artistry.

Amway plans to roll out sales promotions for eSpring on a regular basis and has also set a long-term branding plan with an emphasis on online media to ease accessibility and direct brand experience among young consumers.

For example, the company launched an eSpring Thailand Facebook page on May 1 with active response from users of water treatments.
