CMC Group earmarks Bt1 bn for 6 properties

Property firm Chaopraya Mahanakorn (CMC Group) has budgeted Bt1 billion to purchase six plots of land in Bangkok on which to develop new residential projects next year.

Chief executive officer Vichien Patayanun said five of the projects would be condominiums.
They will be close to the mass transit system, both existing routes and extensions approved by the Cabinet.
The locations of the condo projects include Phaholyothin, Sathorn, Narathiwas Ratchanakarin and Ratchadaphisek roads. The sixth development, a low-rise project, will be on Ratchaphruek Road.

Meanwhile, the company plans to launch three new condominium projects worth Bt2.28 billion in the second half of this year.
The first is Chateau in Town Ratchada 20-2 worth Bt180 million.
The next is Bangkok Horizon Lazi worth Bt900 million, and the third one Bangkok Horizon Bangkok-Nonthaburi, worth Bt1.2 billion.
“We focused on condominiums this year when we saw strong demand after last year’s floods,” Vichien said.
CMC Group’s new condominium projects in the second half of this year will drive its total revenue to Bt1.6 billion and presales to Bt5 billion by the end of the year, he said.
