Four home shows offer special deals to buyers
Home-buyers and landowners will be able to take advantage of special promotional campaigns from four home shows and exhibitions this week.
Three of the four events are at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok. They are "Home Builder 2012", "Home Buyer Expo 2012", and "Home Loan 2012", all of which started yesterday and run until Sunday.
The fourth event is the "Home & Residence" show at The Emporium in Bangkok, which also started yesterday and runs until September 2.
According to a survey by The Nation, most property and home-builder firms are offering promotional campaigns at the four events, such as price discounts, free furniture, and joint programmes with commercial banks to offer mortgages with zero interest for the first six months to two years.
Dr Patchara Tantayanyong, president of the Home Builder Association, said more than 40 builder firms would show off their new designs and offer such deals as discounts of 5-10 per cent.
The HBA is also offering prizes. Customers placing orders on-site will stand a chance to win a Suzuki Swift (two prizes), a Yamaha Fino (three prizes), or an iPad 4G Wi-Fi 16GB (10 prizes).
Moreover, those pre-registering through www.hba-th.org will also be eligible to win an additional discount of Bt10,000 when placing an on-site order with any exhibitor.
The association estimates on-site presales of Bt3.3 billion, down 15 per cent from Bt2.9 billion in 2011.
Home Buyer Expo 2012 features 500 residential projects worth more than Bt100 billion, while eight commercial banks have offered special deals on mortgages.
Property developers are also offering discounts, free furniture, and other promotions.
For example, The Confidence Co, a subsidiary of Quality Houses, offers homes priced at only Bt999,000 at this event.
Sena Development is displaying 13 residential projects and offering free transfer fees and special prices with monthly instalments of only Bt900.
