Fewer property projects hit the market
A number of 248 property projects were launched during the first eight months of this year, according to data compiled by Agency for Real Estate Affairs.
Though the number of project dropped 20 per cent from the same period last year, the number of units increased 0.1 per cent on year to 64,450 units. The combined value of the units dropped 10 per cent from the same period last year. Meanwhile, the average unit price also dropped 10 per cent from Bt3.069 million to Bt2.767 million.
In August alone, a number of 31 property projects were launched, offering a total of 8,208 units with combined value of Bt27.26 billion. Fifty one per cent of the new units were condominium units, followed by townhouses (28 per cent) and single detached houses (19 per cent). Most of the new housing projects are located in the East of Bangkok.
