No time to waste on electric vehicles

No time to waste on electric vehicles

Is Thailand ready for battery-powered cars?

Perhaps not now, but if it follows the trends of innovators, it might be ready in 20 years. A new company in Silicon Valley, California has just introduced a line of newfangled electric cars. They’re attractive, with a low centre of gravity, and could propel a small family several hundred kilometres on one charge. Here’s a link: www.npr.org/blogs/alltechconsidered/2012/09/24/161700525/teslas-big-gamble-can-the-electric-car-go-mainstream.
Thais will embrace battery-driven cars eventually. The big question is, how many years behind will they be? If they don’t tarry too long, Thailand could become the hub of electric cars for Asia, plus implementing the solar-powered re-charging stations that will be part of that. If Thais do tarry, then they’ll simply be paying higher prices than others, who will have already cornered the market.
