BCH invests in new facility

Bangkok Chain Hospital reported to the Stock Exchange of Thailand that it was investing in a new hospital under the brand World Medical Center. The investment is about Bt2.2 billion (excluding land at Bt200 million), BCH board chairman Chalerm Harnphanich

 

Krungsri Foreign Fund
Krungsri Asset Management Co is offering the open-ended Krungsri Foreign Fund 6M1 (KFFIF6M1) from today through October 29 at a minimum Bt10,000 per booking. 
The fund will have a period only six months with an interest rate of 3.25 per cent per annum. It will invest in foreign offerings including Euro Medium Term Note debentures by Banco do Brasil (10 per cent), EMTN debentures by Banco Itau Unibanco (Brasil) (23 per cent), 23 per cent in EMTN debentures by Banco Bradesco (Brasil), deposits at China Construction Bank (Hong Kong branch) at 20 per cent, and 24 per cent at Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank. 
 
Unctad publication
The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (Unctad) will launch its flagship publication, “Technology and Innovation Report 2012: Exploring the South for Technological Empowerment and Innovation Capacity by Dr Supachai Panitchpakdi, secretary-general, on October 31 at the Foreign Correspondents’ Club of Thailand.
The report will analyse the mutually supportive roles countries of the “emerging South” can play in this promising area of economic growth, including through more effective technology transfer.
The report has a special focus on the need for an increased use of South-South cooperation to promote technology-led growth in developing countries. Fast-growing trade and investment among these countries offers an opportunity to master market-useful technologies and to bolster their abilities to innovate new products and services.
