Doubles specialist Varatchaya gained her wild card after beating Luksika for the title at Bangkok’s ATF Asian Tennis Championships in December. The two Thai women will take their places in the main draw alongside world stars Ana Ivanovic, Maria Kirilenko, Sabine Lisicki, Sorana Cirstea, Heather Watson Laura Robson, Hseih Su-wei and Kimiko Date-Krumm.
