NetApp aims to serve all segments, eyes 50% revenue growth

NetApp (Thailand) intends to provide its services to all business segments and expects revenue to grow by more than 50 per cent this year.

Weera Areeratanasak, country manager of NetApp (Thailand), the local unit of a US-based computer-storage and data-management company, said it would provide advanced technology and new products, as well as creating an alliance ecosystem, to reach its growth target.
Among its new products is the NetApp E-Series platform, which provides data-storage systems and devices to address the rising demand for a virtualised environment.
Meanwhile, the firm has allied with Internet Thailand (INET) and Avnet, a US-based business-to-business technology provider, as partners to provide cloud computing with high performance and productivity.
It provides its products and solutions via The Value Systems as distributor and seven other resellers.
Weera said the firm would also drive business growth through development of the ONTAP platform, a virtual storage solution.
He added that NetApp (Thailand) last year saw revenue growth of 25.3 per cent over 2011.
It has acquired more than 60 new customers from key industries, including Japanese businesses, such as manufacturing, energy, financial services and telecommunications.
Last year NetApp invested in setting up a full office operation in Thailand, increasing staff and setting up a demo centre.
