Counting down for Krabi

Counting down for Krabi

Bangkok Airways introduces two daily flights from/to Bangkok and Krabi - one of Thailand's best beach holiday destinations.

The morning flight departs Suvanabhumi Airport for Krabi at 9.25am, while the afternoon flight leaves Bangkok at 5.20pm. Both flights use the Airbus A320 accommodating up to 162 passengers. Krabi, on the Andaman coast, is famous for island hopping and scuba diving. Visit www.BangkokAir.com.

Fruity festivities
Drive to Thailand’s East this month and next to experience a really juicy weekend. From May to June, the eastern provinces – Rayong, Chanthaburi, Prachin Buri and Trat – are organising “Eat at the Garden” festivals for fruit lovers and weekenders to sample the finest fruit on the spot. Durian, rambutan, mangosteen and salacca are the highlights of these annual tropical treats. For more information, visit www.TravelEastThailand.org.

Leaving the traffic behind
The “Unordinary Weekday Travel Fair” gets underway tomorrow at Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, Bangkok to promote weekday travel around Thailand. Hotels, spas and car rental firms will be offering special packages to travellers hitting the road anytime from Sunday to Thursday. Expect special room rates – two nights for the price of one, for example – and chance to win air tickets. The fair continues until Sunday.

Thailand tops spa destination list
Thailand’s spa industry makes a bold statement as the country is named the Best Spa Destination at GeoSpa AsiaSpa India Awards 2012-2013. The AsiaSpa awards set a benchmark for originality and acknowledge the finest contributions made to the budding wellness industry. The win represents the choice made by readers of the AsiaSpa India Magazine, which is the most popular spa and wellness magazine in India.
