TAT won't be talking about this

TAT won't be talking about this

Come for a stroll along the beachfront adjacent to the new Pattaya marina and admire the view out to sea - if you can see it beyond the rather ugly concrete jungle that is the new marina.

Wend your way, if you can, past numerous motorbikes carelessly parked on the footpath, spilled garbage, construction debris, boat trailers parked everywhere, and step carefully to avoid slipping on the oil-soaked concrete from leaking outboard motors and ancient tractors. And of course, be prepared to hold your nose as you walk past the area where garbage from Ko Larn is being offloaded, or the overflowing garbage bins dotted around. Yes, I know the marina is still under construction, but there is no excuse for not keeping the area clean and safe. And one wonders where those decrepit tractors and boat trailers will find a new home when the marina is eventually completed. One hopes it will not be on public roads that have already become bus parking lots. The entire area makes one wonder if Pattaya City Council cares anything for improving Pattaya as a tourist destination.
