One step forward, two back
I must say I had mixed reactions on hearing that all matches in the UEFA Women's European Championship are to be shown live on GMM, while other channels are to televise live selected games.
My first impressions were positive at this seeming evidence of real progress in Thailand’s attitude to gender equality for women, even in the field of sport.
So imagine my disappointment to read on and learn that two of the commentators for the event are not ex-players but former beauty queens, who, as we are all aware, know an awful lot about “the beautiful game”.
