AF's Kacha and Tao play investigative agents for their latest show

Two of talent show Academy Fantasia’s most popular alumni were back on stage last Sunday in a sold-out show at CentralWorld Live. “Kacha Tao: The Final Mission” marked their joint second concert, with Nontanun “Kacha” Anchuleepradit and Sattaphong “Tao” Phiangphor serving up performances that explained in part why the fans just can’t wait for more.
Long before the concert even began, thousands of young fans had packed the foyer outside the auditorium and were busy snapping up mugs and T-shirts sporting their images as well as light sticks designed to look like their heroes.
The show kicked off promptly at 6pm, with Kacha and Tao attired in black suits riding up the aisle to the stage on a small motorbike, much to the delight of the crowd.
In line with the concert’s title, Kacha and Tao posed as agents with the Department of Investigation, sporting respectively the codes of K-03 and T-23 as they hurried to finish their final mission and fight the villains in the opener “Fight for You”.
They later separated for their solo shows, with both performing love songs, including Kacha’s latest hit “Bai Song”, “Plai Fun” and “Sanya Rak” before joining up for TVXQ!’s hit “Catch Me”, which had the two youngsters playing with green laser beams.
The first part found the “investigators” looking for a girl. Kacha rocked alone on Blackhead’s “Ying To Ying Suay” and showed his prowess on the percussion as he joined a group of drummers. Tao came out with a group of sexy dancers in Taeyang’s “I Need A Girl”.
They then called on some lucky audience members to join them on stage and make the hand gestures to “Gwiyomi”, a K-pop single by Hari. Kacha and Tao continued their duet with “Thi Rak (Ther)”, before going solo for their own singles “Ya Tham Hai Rak” and “Khae Khong Lien Baeb”.
The two lads then fell out over the affections of the same girl as they performed Jirasak Panphum’s “Thang Khrai Thang Man”, Trademark’s “Only Love” and Nat Sakdathorn’s “Chan Yang Yoo Thang Khon.”
DJ Mam of Green Wave was their first guest, performing “La Ai Jai” and sending a message of friendship to Kacha and Tao. AF housemate Watcharakan “Frame” Buaban was next to appear, playing the role of the department’s chief and joining Tao on acoustic guitar and Kacha on drums for Getsunova’s “Klai Khae Nai Khue Klai”.
Kacha and Tao morphed into Korean style for Natthew’s “She’s Bad” before launching into a medley of covers, which included Watcharin Buaban’s “Baeb Samer (Jung Boei)”, Stamp’s “Ohm Jong Ngoei”, and Cocktail’s “Khuk Khao”.
The pair closed out the show with Five For Fighting’s “Superman (It’s Not Easy)” and, as the large LCD screens buzzed with scenes of their friendship, the entire audience joined with the alumni for Boyd Kosiyabong’s “Huajai Phook Kan”.
