Red carpet already rolled out for Tak's firstborn

Red carpet already rolled out for Tak's firstborn

Actress Bongkot "Tak" bencharongkul's baby boy is booked to premiere on September 19, says her business-tycoon husband Boonchai. He also confirmed that they have jumped through all the hoops to make their nuptials legal, but denied that he gave Tak a Bt10

Boonchai says they’re both now busy preparing for the arrival of the wee one, who already has a nickname – Khao Hom (Fragrant Rice) – to go with the name Cheewakij bestowed by a venerable monk. That one means “one with a lifetime of honour”.
“We’ve already bought baby clothes and we’re ready to move into our newly built house with him,” says Boonchai, who has kids from his previous marriage but admits he’s pretty excited about this one.
They know the birth date because Tak has opted for caesarean section, and art lover Boonchai picked the date because September 19 is also the birthday of Corrado Feroci, the Italian sculptor who became Silpa Bhirasri, the father of Thai modern art. That’s one way to make sure you always remember your child’s birthday – and another excuse for the art community to have a party that day.

Paternal patience
Meanwhile another actress, Taksaorn “Aff” Techanarong, and her husband Songkran are struggling to have a baby. The heir to the lucrative Bonanza resort in Khao Yai says they want a child as soon as possible, “but it’s not easy as you think”.
They’ve been trying in vain for three months, leaving Songkran to feel like he’s playing the lottery and never hitting the jackpot.

Nadech who?
Nadech Kugimiya is the hottest actor on TV who isn’t actually on TV – apart from commercials. His agent Supachai “A” Sriviji is trying to find him something to do on Channel 3 while they’re waiting for the two series Nadech has shot to make their debut.
“They won’t be on air anytime soon,” Nadech laments. “Being away for too long might make the fans forget me!”
More than one cynic has dared to say that all the advertising work he does could be what’s scaring off TV producers. He’s getting the wrong kind of saturation.
