Horizons at the Hilton Pattaya has a tremendous view and cocktails to match
PATTAYA MIGHT be lacking in class overall but it certainly has its share of places offering fine drinks and nibbles in upscale, hassle-free settings. The Hilton Pattaya has a great spot up on the 34th floor called Horizons. It’s an elegant bar with a stunning view of Pattaya Bay and a bar churning out delicious drinks.
Claiming to offer Pattaya’s best view from on high, Horizons does indeed have an unobstructed, panoramic view of the sea that will blow you away, especially if you’re there to catch the sunset.
The comfy, low-rise tables and sofas in the Stargazer Lounge are made for loafing, and indoors are proper dining tables for rainy days. Otherwise, if the weather’s nice, grab one of the couches by the balcony, where you can fully enjoy the view in privacy.
Since you’ll be there from sunset to late at night, you’re in need of extensive artillery to keep you going. The bar serves virtually everything you need, by bottle or by glass, including Champagne, sparkling red and white wine, single malts, whiskies and spirits. If you’re feeling adventurous, try one of the signature cocktails – normal size for one person at Bt280 or as a tower for six at Bt1,200.
A must-try is the sweet and sour A Tribute to Yello, which has Smirnoff vodka, triple sec and lime and passion-fruit juices. If you don’t like the seeds of the passion fruit or vodka isn’t your thing, opt for a Pattaya Sling. This refreshing and simple cocktail is made with red wine, rum, lime juice and lots of fruit. A classic cocktail is Bt260 and a small beer is Bt200.
Snacks and proper dishes including desserts, grills and seafood can also be had from the kitchen from 6pm.
