True appoints regional bosses in management shake-up

The True Corp group has undergone a major management restructuring after appointing four regional managing directors.

Each managing director will take charge of the group’s businesses in their respective region.
True chief executive Suphachai Chearavanont said the restructuring aimed to make the group more customer-centric but he declined to provide more details.
A True source said that the four group managing directors were Adhiruth Thothaveesansuk, who was True Corp’s mobile business managing director; Chareon Limkangwanmongkol, who was True Online managing director; Siripoj Kunakornphan, who was True Mobile chief operating officer; and Anat Mekpaiboonvatana, who was managing director of pay-TV operator True Visions.
Adhiruth is now in charge of the Northeast region, Chareon oversees the Central region and one-third of Bangkok, Siripoj handles the North and one-third of Bangkok, and Anat is responsible for the South and one-third of Bangkok.
The men have to brief Suphachai on their business expansion plans and strategies.
Under the new structure, Suphachai oversees the group’s marketing as its chief commercial and marketing officer.
The source said that this year True aimed to gain more customers and revenue from convergence services, which recently included its commercial terrestrial digital TV business.
Currently the group has 30 million customers.
It has also made its group director of customer relationship management, Kashem Kornseri, its chief commercial officer for mobile services.
True Online CCO Manat Manavutiveth will also be True Visions CCO.
Rungfa Kiatipoj, True’s director of brand and media management, will also be managing director of the company’s digital TV business.
True has two commercial terrestrial digital TV channel licences.
