Thai AirAsia vies to be best on-time low-cost airline
Thai AirAsia and its sister airline, AirAsia Malaysia, were the finalists in the FlightStats 5th Annual Airline On-Time Performance Service Awards, in the 'Low Cost Airline' category.
They are vying to be the best airline in term of on-time performance.
Both airlines were listed as finalists against other global low cost airlines such as Jetstar Airways, Southwest Airlines, JetBlue Airways and Virgin America.
Based on the on-time performance data of scheduled flights operated, which was gathered and deliberated by FlightStats, Thai AirAsia was ultimately named the victor of the category for achieving the highest on-time performance (OTP) in 2013.
“Thai AirAsia has done a great job in ensuring brilliant on-time performance despite facing countless external challenges, and winning the award just shows how resilient they are. This win reflects our commitment to excellence, doing our best to setting very high standards to meet the expectations of our guests. AirAsia Malaysia has done a remarkable job in maintaining high On-Time Performance," said AirAsia Group CEO Tony Fernandes.
