Time for the sane, good people to stand up

As the political situation in Thailand threatens to spiral out of control, wild accusations and hate speech from both sides of the political divide are proliferating, adding to the general sense of despair and fuelling more hatred and resentment.
Letter-writer Vint Chavala seems to imply that the government is to blame for the recent fatal and despicable attacks in Trat and Bangkok, although he does not make a direct accusation. However, Suthep Thaugsuban has unsurprisingly done exactly that. But if either man has even a shred of evidence to show that the government is somehow involved in these attacks, why have they not divulged it? In the absence of compelling evidence, such accusations amount to nothing more than malicious rumours.
There are good people in both political camps, and other good people with no affiliation to either side, but where are they?
The country needs such people to step forward now, before it is too late.
