Put a cap on CAPO

Put a cap on CAPO

Surely it is time for the Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) to be disbanded. It was forced - in order to avoid an attempted-murder complaint - to apologise for using tear gas during a protest clash at its headquarters last Friday.

Yet this agency (set up by the government after Parliament was dissolved) has not ceased to issue dire threats and warnings to intimidate ordinary citizens and criticise court rulings that are none of its business. Furthermore, two of its padrones, Chalerm and Surapong, have been disqualified from holding political office.
