Striker Teerasil feels 'at home' at Almeria

It feels like home said Thai striker Teerasil Dangda at a conference where he was officially unveiled on Thursday as Spanish La Liga club Almeria's new player.

The 26-year-old joined Almeira on a one-year loan from Thai Premier League outfit Muangthong United with an option of making his move permanent depending on his performances.
At the packed conference held at the city’s council, Teerasil told local press that he was overwhelmed by the support of Almeria supporters since he arrived at the club at the beginning of this month.
“It’s a small town, pleasant place to live. People are kind. I felt overwhelmed by the warm reception I received from the club and fans. They treated me like I was a member of their family. I feel like I’m at home,” said the Thai forward, who will wear the No 18 jersey.
Despite already having a taste of Spanish football following his short training stint at La Liga champions Atletico Madrid last year, Teerasil said he needed more time to get a grip of top-level football in one of Europe’s best leagues. “I need more time to adjust myself. Playing in Spain is at far higher level than in Thailand. I have to start many things over again both on and off the pitch. There’s no problem with the relationship with other players in the squad. They all gave me warm welcome.”
Widely regarded as the country’s most gifted player of his generation, Teerasil was looking to making the most of a “rare opportunity” in his career.
