Buzzebees expects to offer its apps in more countries for revenue surge

BUZZEBEES, a Thailand-based software company, plans to expand its business to cover 15 countries in a bid to boost revenue fourfold by next year. It also expects to reach 30 million users.

Michael Chen, chief executive officer of Buzzebees, an e-marketplace for mobile platforms, said the firm planned to focus its mobile application on a number of key areas. These include customer-relationship management, online media, online surveys, and comprehensive product-management services. The firm also provides outsourcing to develop mobile apps for businesses.
He said Buzzebees was an app aiming to serve all levels of customers, including retailers, traders, small and medium-sized enterprises and corporations. It combines social media, a royalty customer loyalty program, and an e-commerce platform. It now has 10 strategic partners including Line, PTT, Samsung and SingTel. It operates in five countries – Singapore, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Thailand.
“We help our strategic partners to create online deals and redeem special privileges for mobile users. We also create special brand privileges for customers and provide royalty customers for business [customer loyalty programs]. We can help small and medium-sized businesses expand their marketing channels,” Chen said.
The company now has more than 3 million users and creates around 300 new promotion campaigns per month. It expects to have more than 40 strategic partners by the end of this year.
The firm also expects to expand its business to cover 15 countries in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe and reach 30 million users in both the domestic and international markets by the end of next year. It targets fourfold business growth in 2015.
Chen said Thailand now had about 90 million users of mobile devices. There are 26 million Thai Facebook members and 2 million users of Twitter.
Around 64 per cent of mobile users access social media and 36 million Thais access social media via desktop computers. Thais spend an average of 3.39 hours a day on social media.
