South Korean teen heroes JYJ return to Bangkok for a sell-out show

The tears shed by Thai fans back in 2010 when South Korean supergroup Dong Bang Shin Ki parted ways quickly turned to smiles when three of its five members – Kim Jae-joong, Park Yoo-chun, and Kim Jun-sun, better known as Hero, Mickey and Xia – reformed as JYJ.
The honorary ambassadors of the 2014 Incheon Asian Games, which come to an end today, were in town last week, performing at Challenger Hall 1, Muang Thong Thani on the last leg of their “The Return of the King” Asia tour in front of thousands of screaming fans.
The screams started long before the boys even made an appearance and the fans appeared to get a great deal of pleasure lighting up the auditorium with red light sticks.
The moment they’d been waiting for finally arrived with Hero, Mickey and Xia coming out on stage singing “Creation” from their latest album “Just Us” before taking fans back to their debut release “The Beginning” with “Be the One”. They quickly returned to the present with “Babo Boy”.
“Are you having a good time?” Xia asked. “We haven’t seen each other for three years.”
“You haven’t forgotten us, have you?” asked Hero, while Mickey added, “We will do our best for you.”
The trio brought the tempo down a notch with “Dad, You There” and “Let Me See”, then continued with the tracks off the new album, each showcasing his vocals on “Dear J” (Hero), “7 Years Old” (Xia) and “Thirty” (Mickey).
Xia was the first member out for the round of solo shows, shouting out “Sawasdee Bangkok”, before showing his singing and dancing skills in “Tarantallegra” and “Incredible”,
Mickey was next up, strolling slowly along the stage as he sang “Walking in the Spring with Her” and then joined by a group of dancers for “I Love You”. Hero, meanwhile, rocked with crowd with “Butterfly” and made them go even wilder as he stripped off his shirt to sing “Mine”.
Fans started running to try and touch their idols as the three lads travelled through the hall in carts throwing balls to the audience while singing “So So”.
They were back on stage for “In Heaven”, which showcased their effortless harmonies, before closing out the concert with “Letting Go”, “Valentine” and “Back Seat”.
They returned for an encore, bidding farewell to fans with “Empty” and “Get Out” and “Fallen Leaves”.
