Is Film all wet? Korean cops have never heard of the guy

Evidently not content with being very publicly "arrested" while undertaking the Ice Bucket Challenge in South Korea, actor Rattapoom "Film" Tokongsab is courting more controversy with his angry reaction to people exposing the real details behind that curi

Millions of people saw the video clip online that ostensibly showed a cop in Seoul stepping forward to bust the soaking-wet Film after he’d noisily survived the challenge. Film said he was fined the equivalent of Bt5,000 for being silly in public without permission.
He also said South Koreans are quite conscientious about conserving water, so the Ice Bucket Challenge has never caught on there. It was an odd thing to say, because all sorts of Korean pop idols have been bucketed. Suspicions began to arise.
Koreans who’ve lived in Thailand have their own Web community, interestingly enough, and they managed to discover the location of Film’s “bucketing-forbidden” spot. The owner of a shop seen in Film’s video actually submitted a formal letter to the Blue House – the Korean president’s office – about the incident, as citizens are encouraged to do there.
Was this Thai actor really arrested in front of his shop? The police said no!
Well, Film was livid about being investigated by these nosy parkers, but didn’t have much to say about it when the Thai press came around. He preferred to talk about a potential big job back in Seoul.
Currently a series producer for Thailand’s Channel 8, Film said he’s been offered a starring role in a Korean movie involving a famous Korean director. Which director? He wouldn’t say – he wants to discuss the project further before making a decision on the deal. “I need to ask him what I’ll get if I work in Korea, such as the salary and what other kinds of jobs they might provide. I have to think carefully about it because I have a lot of work here in Thailand and I’ll lose everything if I go there.”
We want to believe him, we really do. It’s just that his credibility is still a little soggy.

Jeeja keeps jumping
We distinctly remember action-film star Yanin “Jeeja” Vismitananda telling us earlier this year that she’d signed a contract with Asia United Entertainment and had foreign movies lined up, including a role opposite Korean superstar Lee Byun-hun. Then a few months later she’d decided to be a “free agent” again after falling out with AUE.
Fast-forward to last month and there’s a Jeeja Yanin fan page on Facebook being touted on Tony Jaa’s page. Jeeja seems to be posting updates mainly in English, just as Tony does. The two co-starred and occasionally train together, after all. Could it be that Jeeja is keen to pursue a Hollywood dream with Jaa’s help?
All we know so far is what she said in an interview with a foreign website devoted to action films and with the Film Combat Syndicate – that she’s working on a TV series and “in discussions” regarding film projects.
Jeeja’s contract with Sahamongkol Films ended last year, as did Jaa’s, although she had a smoother exit than he did. Jeeja formally informed the studio in advance that she wouldn’t be signing another contract and they all agreed on not just a fair split but also occasional collaborations in the future should a suitable movie come along.
Keep up to date with Jeeja at www.facebook.com/jeejayaninofficial.
