La Boutique welcomes the festive season and a new year with “La Nouvelle Parisienne” collection, a selection of clothes and accessories inspired by the glamour of the 1950s and in particular photographer Robert Doisneau’s iconic black-and-white image “Le baiser de l'hotel de ville” (“The Kiss by l'Hotel de Ville”). , 

“The exhibition ‘Les annees 50: la mode en France (1947-1957)’ at Musee Galliera was truly mesmerising. The fact that the designers at that time really pushed the boundaries,, challenged traditions and redefined fashion culture totally changed the way people perceived art and culture. This is very much like the La Boutique woman; she is open to new things, but at the same time never fails to impress with her timeless, elegant style,” says the brand’s creative director Patcharawat Trakansantikul.

The key features of this special collection are inspired by the Golden Age of Haute Couture and the introduction of the ready-to-wear concept. La Boutique’s design team has incorporated modernity and classic flair with a mixture of different textiles, crystal beads and star-shaped prints that add texture, dimension and uniqueness to the dresses.

Each item in the collection is designed to mix and match enabling women to create their own unique looks for both day and night. Classic black and white rule the colour palette ensuring that the clothes will never go out of style.

La Nouvelle Parisienne, which is part of La Boutique’s Classic Collection, is sensual and sophisticated, fully embracing a woman’s femininity. The silhouette of the 1950s structure is fitted at the waist and contrasts with the pumped-up volumes at the hip, shoulders, wrists and elbows. This philosophy is found across the collection, be it in the oversized coats or the brand’s signature one-shoulder dress, enhanced with neat cutting, sequins, feathers, couture techniques and fine materials.

The luxurious fabrics are carefully selected to deliver delicate appeal to onlookers and include the star-printed “belle etoile” fabric inspired by antique jewellery.

La Boutique’s signature items Star Dust and Mystique Bag are now available in new metallic shades to welcome the festive season. This shoulder purse is made from genuine cow hide with a smooth, delicate hue. The super-soft leather bag is adorned with symmetrical star-shaped stitches and constructed with double layers of leather for extra durability. Mystique is a book-shaped, genuine leather purse with letter embossing, a gold rim and metallic trimming to resemble a book cover. Remove the strap and it becomes a stylish clutch for evening events.
