Parisian jewellery brand Les Nereides and its playful sister N2 now have a store in Bangkok, at Groove at CentralWorld. 

The Nereides lines are classic, elegant and feminine in the French style and inspired by the seasons, cats and dogs, insects and little flowers, and the grace of ballet dancers. 

N2 is geared to girls who are active, curious and follow the latest trends in fashion, art and music. There are collections inspired by “Alice in Wonderland”, “Little Red Riding Hood” and “Hansel and Gretel”, while others play with animals and fruit.

 

Real trees at Ikea

Ikea’s 2014 Xmas Collection honours traditional and welcomes the modern in decorations, candles and candleholders, textiles, tableware and much more in the tones of the season – red, silver and gold.

There is also, of course, a nod to Swedish culture, in lively Vinterfint wineglasses and snack bowls. For a bright touch in the dining room, there’s a scarlet Harfin candle and holder, a Vintermys candelabra and block candle, and a Strala LED lantern. 

The young ones will enjoy putting the Vinterkul pastry cutter to good use in the kitchen, making cookies in the shape of stars, crowns, moustaches and bows. Another cutter set is available for making Swedish-style gingerbread houses – and you should also be wearing the bright red kitchen apron.

Ikea is again importing Swedish pine trees in two sizes – 1.6 and two metres tall. Take the tree back to Ikea Bangna anytime from December 26 to January 14 so it can be recycled and you get a gift card for 50 per cent of the price of the tree.
