Manathai opens central office for four resorts in Thailand

Independent Thai hospitality group Manathai Hotels & Resorts has opened a centralised sales office in Bangkok to coordinate global sales and marketing activities for four boutique resorts it operates in beachfront areas in Thailand.

The team is headed by experienced travel and hospitality professional Bobbie-Jane Skewes.
Manathai Hotels & Resorts was recently launched at the World Travel Market in London.
Skewes, who the firm says has shaped leading international branded and independent upscale boutique hotels over a career spanning more than 15 years, is now tasked with connecting travellers to authentic experiences at some of this country’s most beautiful and culturally rich destinations.
“Manathai is all about serving the needs of ‘new travellers’ – those who reject the cliches and want individuality, choice and authenticity,” she said.
“It’s a great privilege to be group director of sales and marketing at a company that understands [that] a large number of individual travellers, couples and families want to experience Thailand in a more personalised and meaningful way at
four resorts that encapsulate their [surroundings] and flavours, be that in Hua Hin, Koh Samui, Khao Lak or Phuket.”
Skewes has worked with multicultural sales and marketing teams for hotels and corporate offices in numerous destinations such as Australia, Dubai, Egypt, Cambodia and Thailand. The firm says she is skilled in all facets of luxury-hotel sales and marketing, with a record of successful hotel openings thanks to an ability to network and build business relationships.
The Australian has worked at major companies including Sofitel Luxury Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
“One of the most exciting aspects about working at a group like Manathai is its diverse collection of hotels, which have been inspired by serenity, hospitality and friendship,” Skewes said. “Each has an individual style and charm that echoes the vibrant coastal destinations they are located in. They offer the true essence of Thai hospitality, where welcoming smiles and the highest standard of personalised attention prevail.”
Manathai Hotels & Resorts says each of its boutique properties embodies its own style and charm, with inspiration drawn from local surroundings and Thailand’s diverse culture.
