Now you can wave good bye to that winter dryness

For the past weeks I've woken up with dry and itchy skin, even though I always put on my usual moisturiser before going to bed. What should I do?

Although the cool breezes of the season have arrived late, winter dryness is already very much in the air. The humidity drops and the skin loses its moisture in dry weather.

When it comes to skincare products, what worked for you last month doesn’t necessarily work all year round. The skin’s needs change with lifestyle factors, diet, stress, the weather and other environmental factors. If you feel that your regular moisturiser isn’t doing its job properly, consider changing it.

Moisturisers, however, only help to a certain extent. Sometimes the skin needs more. Skinbooster was recently introduced, promising to create luminous skin in a natural way by plumping and hydrating from the inside. It increases hydration with microscopic injections of long-lasting hyaluronic acid.

Hyaluronic acid, found naturally in the body, can bind and hold onto large amounts of water, deeply hydrating the skin to improve firmness, elasticity and smoothness.

The molecules in the hyaluronic-acid-based fluid that is injected are much smaller than those of the acid itself. A small amount is injected all over the face.

Afterward Skinbooster, designed to hold just the right amount of water, will be absorbed and combine with natural hyaluronic acid. As we age, we produce less of this acid, a slowing process aided up by UV damage, dry weather and heat.

The injected acid also helps stimulate fibroblast, which produces elastin and collagen. As a result, the skin looks naturally plumper and more youthful. The skin glows with increased hydration and becomes smoother. Lines, pores and acne pits smoothen. The results are quite natural and long-lasting.

Non-Animal Stabilised Hyaluronic Acid is generally safe and unlikely to cause allergic reactions. Its purity makes it a safe choice, as recognised by food-and-drug authorities in Thailand, the US and Europe. It is, however, still important to choose a reliable doctor to avoid possible complications.

Skinbooster is good for anyone with dry and rough skin or who just wants a more youthful appearance.
