Meanwhile, pedestrians still risk their lives a few metres away from these police who do not see the red-light violations five metres away from themselves. How wired can it be? Even if you stop your motorbike for the red light you risk being run over from behind.
To keep yourself sane you must laugh otherwise you will turn crazy. Thailand is going nowhere before the police force is totally cleaned up as a priority in the reform work. The police set precedence in Thailand for acceptable wrongs.
National driving licences from all countries have information in English and are difficult to falsify. Meanwhile an international driving licence is just a piece of paper from car owners’ organisations, not a secure document at all.
