AirAsia to start KL-Pattaya direct flights in July
AirAsia Bhd is set to operate four weekly direct flights from U-Tapao Airport in Pattaya to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in light of growing travel demand.
The service, which makes AirAsia the only airline that directly connects the two destinations, will start on July 16.
“We are extremely proud to be the only airline to connect our guests directly to Kuala Lumpur from Pattaya. Just last year alone we have carried over 2 million guests between Thailand and Malaysia and together with our affiliate airline Thai AirAsia, we intend to strengthen the group’s flight network and connectivity coupled with our low fares," said Spencer Lee, head of commercial for the Kuala Lumpur-based airline.
He noted that the route is consistent with the airline's efforts to provide the widest route network in Asean and beyond, connecting communities and creating new market segments throughout this region.
