Hot clothes, hot music and hot dancing are sparkling at the Platinum Fashion Mall this week and next

FASHION GURUS SHARING their views, a fund-raiser for Nepal earthquake victims and a performance by Taiwan’s hottest boy band, SpeXial, are all part of Platinum Fashionista Month 2015 continuing into mid-June at the Platinum Fashion Mall in Bangkok’s Pratunam district.
Ready to put you into all the right gear for the rainy season, Fashionista Month has all sorts of activities underway through June 17 on the street out front of the mall.
“People are spending more carefully these days, but they’re still spending continuously because of the constant change in seasons and in fashion trends,” says Sirichai Praphanturakit, executive vice president for property management. “And, in the global market, Thai clothing continues to draw the interest of foreigners with its high standards in quality and design, on a par with other Asian exporters such as South Korea, Japan and Hong Kong.”
Fashionista Month began with Fashionista 101, which ended last weekend, and continues through Monday with Fashionista Color Teller. Ready to roll on Tuesday is Fashionista Frung Fring, including a “Styling in the Rain” fashion show by hot couple Sean Jindachot and Esther Supreeleela and the concert by the 10-member boy band SpeXial from Taiwan (Hong Zheng “Wes”, Wei Jin “Wayne”, Ming Jie “Matthew”, Zi Hong “Sam”, Chen Xiang “Simon”, Zhen Huan “Evan”, Xiang Xi “Teddy”, Feng Tian “Win”, Yi Lun “Riley” and Bai Chen “Ian”).
Fashion writers giving helpful talks will include Jiradt Pornpanitphan, editor of Looker magazine, and fortune-teller Khemakorn “Toktak A4” Noppakor, a columnist at our sister newspaper Kom Chad Luek.
Also on tap are the Platinum Young Stylist Contest, in which design students from schools around the country are vying for a Bt100,000 prize, and “Fashionista Pray for Nepal”, featuring an auction on a cloth bag owned by Sean and Esther.
Add to this the chance to browse among merchandise from 150 trendy clothing stores at a “Chic Fun Love” sale.
The Platinum Fashion Mall is Thailand’s largest one-stop wholesale destination, embodying a truly national approach in supporting many services for traders, retailers and shoppers, such as inventory cargo, outbound and inbound transportation, car parks and freight elevators, making the whole system more convenient for everyone.
