USDP accused of dirty tricks
The National League for Democracy (NLD) has asekd the Union Election Commission (UEC) to put a stricter control on the ruling Union Solidarity and Development Party (USDP).
It accused some USDP members of a dirty plot against its leader, Aung San Suu Kyi. Fake photos were circulated to disgrace her during her trip to Mon State in mid-May, it said. At villages and townships, there are signposts showing the acronym of USDP.
“Some issues are already submitted to the UEC,” said NLD executive Tun Tun Hein. “The USDP has denied that the signposts are related to the party.”
