Most critics of lese majeste law are Thais, and some are royalists

In her haste to be more Thai than the Thais, Clara Holzer fails to notice that most of the critics of lese majeste are, in fact, Thais, and that there would be many more had they the freedom to express their opinions.

There are many royalists, and supporters of King Bhumibol, among whom I count myself, who consider lese majeste to be an archaic practice that is a denial of the basic human right of freedom of speech.

Further, her understanding of Ancient Rome is also rather shaky if she imagines that being a Roman meant not criticising the Emperor.
