Global happiness index essential reading for PM

Global happiness index essential reading for PM

It looks as though General Prayut Chan-o-cha's campaign to return happiness to the people of Thailand has a ways to go yet.

According to a new global Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index released on Friday, Thailand ranks 44th out of the 135 countries surveyed.
The Index measures how people feel about five facets of their lives: sense of purpose, social connections, community, finance and physical vigour.
The small Central American nation of Panama came in No 1 and, not surprisingly, Syria and Afghanistan came in last.
But looking on the bright side, at least the General has a benchmark to work to now.
