Camper turns to Alaska for inspiration in its new winter collection

CAMPER’S CREATIVE director Romain Kremer is gearing up for the coming winter by incorporating aspects of Alaska’s wildest landscape in his latest footwear collection. Inspired by nature, the Arctic ice and the minerals in the soil, he brings interesting textures and colours to his designs that evoke a true sense of the wild.
The colours are accentuated by different treatments imitating cracked ice and fish-scales as seen in the unisex classic Enduro, Blobb for women and Magnus for men. Pelotas Ariel has a monochrome patent and comes in daybreak blue and salmon pink, while the deep purple in several of the matt textures brings to mind the hues of the amethyst.
Unconventional Gemma sneakers are inspired by the 90’s techno scene and come in both lace-up high top and slip-on designs. Wood is adapted from classic hiking boots and combines various materials from supple leathers to natural fabrics used for detailing like wool and faux fur. The Ski, meanwhile, is inspired by the puffy jacket phenomenon.
Fiss ankle boots broaden a unisex option that translates comfort into performance without sacrificing the aesthetic of the shoe and Metal looks simple in black yet is playful with metallic touches for women and blood orange accents for men.
