The establishment of the framework coincides with the 23rd ACMF meeting in Kuala Lumpur hosted by the SC, the current chair of the forum.
The framework, an initiative under the ACMF Implementation Plan endorsed by the Asean Finance Ministers, aims to enhance Asean’s attractiveness as a fund-raising centre.
Under the framework, issuers planning to offer or list equity or plain debt securities can expect a shorter time to market and faster access to capital across signatory countries through a streamlined review process.
The ACMF was set up in 2004 to promote freer flow of capital and greater connectivity of Asean capital markets.

4 STEPS FOR MINISTRY
Deputy Prime Minister Somkid Jatusripitak has delivered four priority measures to the Commerce Ministry regarding the domestic economy, crop prices, exports, and strengthening local businesses.
After a meeting with the Commerce Ministry, the Board of Trade of Thailand and the Thai Chamber of Commerce, and the Federation of Thai Industries, Somkid instructed the ministry to proceed with four measures. The first is to tackle the rising cost of living and work closely with the private sector to ensure that goods prices are fair for both consumers and manufacturers.
The ministry was also urged to send teams to monitor price and enforce laws to punish unfair traders.
The second measure is to increase the efficiency of managing crop prices, stabilising commodity prices and ensuring fair returns to farmers.
Third is to work closely with the private sector to penetrate potential export markets.
The final measure is to support business operations and reduce the procedures for business registration.
