Bangkok hotel introduces innovative concept for meetings, events

RADISSON BLU Plaza Bangkok is introducing a new concept for business meetings and events, including the Thai hospitality industry's first high-quality "brain food" menu.

The hotel’s “Experience Meetings” feature three core components: “brain food”, free Internet access, and “brain boxes”.
“We all want meetings that are more productive in a creative and intellectually stimulating environment. We have made a commitment to deliver successful meetings with higher productivity and greater creativity for our guests,” said Sandy Russell, vice president for commercial operations at Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, Asia-Pacific.
The “brain box” is a room concept that takes into account different learning styles and creates a stimulating atmosphere through the use of bright colours and a flexible furniture layout with movable lounge chairs, cushions, and adjustable light systems. The aim is to inspire, help boost creativity, encourage active participation and enhance interaction among the delegates.
The hotel’s brain-food menu was developed by expert chefs and nutritionists. The food features well-balanced and primarily locally sourced ingredients such as fish, whole grains, fruits and vegetables, all of which have undergone minimal industrial processing.
The menu promises great taste, yet at the same time low-fat and low-sugar items. The result is food that helps keep delegates’ blood-sugar levels constant so that they experience optimal concentration and minimal fatigue.

Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok says it has placed emphasis on healthy food and eating right. To that end, the hotel has coordinated with partners who supply high-quality products and assist chefs with developing menus.
In addition, Experience Meetings leverage technology to ensure superior connectivity for both participants and the meetings’ planners. Delegates can
enjoy free Internet access, which ensures that they stay connected throughout the event.
Radisson Blu Plaza Bangkok expects that the Experience Meetings concept will be attractive to modern corporates, particularly younger employees who favour flexibility and healthy food.
Radisson Blu has more than 280 hotels in operation in 62 countries. In the Asia-Pacific region, there are 45 Radisson Blu hotels in operation and another 34 in development.
In Thailand, there are now two Radisson hotels, in Bangkok and Phuket. A third property in the Hua Hin-Cha-am area is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2016.
