StanChart loses case
The Civil Court today cleared Small and Medium Enterprise Development Bank of Thailand (SME Bank) from the lawsuit filed by Standard Chartered (Thai) Bank.
In the case, StanChart called for damage compensation worth over Bt6 billion under the cross currency swap and interest rate swap contracts for floating rate convertible debentures (FRCD) issued for SME Bank. The lawsuit was filed in 2008.
