Waste can be beautiful
We all know about the three Rs concept (reducing, reusing and recycling). A competition is here as an extension - how to make use of recycled materials.
Under the theme “Life Is Play, Show Your Passion”, Indorama Ventures kicked off its RECO Young Designers’ Competition. Based on the three Rs concept, the idea of the contest is to embrace the “eco” theme and to create awareness for the creative use of waste and used materials.
“As an industry leader, the company is committed to looking for ways to reduce and reuse waste from the industry.” said Richard Jones, vice president of Indorama Ventures.
Until December 18, students from colleges and design institutes are invited to submit their designs to win prizes.
The specified materials are recycled polyester or PET materials. Creativity aside, they are urged to demonstrate their care for the environment and inspire the next generation.
