Christmas season sparks a food fight

Christmas season sparks a food fight

Ref: “Yule not merry for turkey”, Letters, December 25.

Jenny Moxham was not very accurate. Actually, it is tens of millions of turkeys that are killed for the holidays. Hence, that should give you a rough idea of how many people disagree with you.
Now I have a question for you. Why do so many vegetarians have a problem with just enjoying their lifestyle and leaving people alone about what they choose to eat?
Is there something about not eating meat that creates aggressiveness because one is perpetually hungry, or is it just getting off on trying to lay guilt trips on people for what few pleasures they have in life?
We eat meat because we can and because the animals have been there for us to do so since time infinite. I’m sorry if that’s a problem for you, but that’s the way it is.
