TrueMove files complaint to police

TrueMove files complaint to police

True Move H Universal Communication (TrueMove H) today filed a report with the Consumer Protection Police Division (CPPD) to find out what blocked AIS customers from calling its call centre.

Seeking the wrongdoers in this case, True Move H said that some mobile consumers have faced such blockade while contacting TrueMove H Care 1331 to access information on switching mobile service providers from AIS to TrueMove H.
In a statement released later today, Advanced Info Service (AIS) insisted that it had never blocked any clients from making calls.
"AIS insisted that the company has never blocked any customers and all customers can freely call any numbers," said Wilai Keangpradoo, a senior executive of AIS.
TrueMove H was convinced that phone calls were blocked. It said that such business malpractices have already caused much inconvenience to customers and considerable damage to TrueMove H‘s business operations. The practices were also against both the criminal and civil laws.
Under the Mobile Number Portability-MNP, customers of a mobile phone company can switch to other operators while retaining the same phone number.
Suphasorn Honchaiya, representing True Move H Universal Communication, said that the company is ready to protect consumers’ interests and benefits, especially when they are affected unfairly from the malpractices of other operators. The company will gradually send other supporting evidences to related authorities.
She said when customers used the AIS network to call TrueMove Care 1331, they encountered:
(1) calls were immediately terminated, or
(2) the calls were re-routed to AIS’s interactive voice response (IVR) promoting AIS’s service packages and then the call was terminated, or
(3) calls were re-routed to AIS’s IVR promoting AIS’s service packages and then transferred to TrueMove H’s call center.
“The filing of a report with CPPD today is aimed at seeking help from authorities in investigating and taking proper legal action against wrongdoers, whose malpractices breach not only criminal offences against the state, but also civil laws,” Suphasorn concluded.
