WiFi for your wheels

WiFi for your wheels

You'll never feel disconnected with the new 4G hotspot for the car

A GREAT WAY to keep the kids amused and out of squabbles while on the road, True 4G Car WiFi modem/hotspot allows your passengers to share 4G Internet connection while travelling in your vehicle.
The device is actually Huawei CarFi E8377 Hilink LTE Hotspot but is released here under the True brand.
The 4G Car WiFi is being distributed by TrueMove H to respond to the needs for Internet sharing among family members and colleagues travelling in the same vehicle.
With TrueMove H’s 4G network covering 80 per cent of populated areas in the country, you can rest assured that the 4G Car WiFi will help you remain connected while travelling.
The device has a micro SIM slot and a USB port. It’s designed to plug into your car’s cigarette lighter socket and the USB port can also be used for recharging your smartphone or other mobile device. TureMove H is distributing two versions of the 4G Car WiFi modem/hotspot – one supports up to five devices and another model up to ten.
The Car WiFi modem/hotspot means you can share your 4G Internet connection to a notebook computer, Wi-Fi tablet computer, or Sony PSP portable game player with ease. With the Wi-Fi connection on the go, you can stay connected to your favourite Internet radio stations, use Google Maps and browse web pages while travelling around.
The 4G Car WiFi supports 4G connection at 1800 and 2100 MHz bandwidth and 3G UMTS 850 MHz and 2100 MHz connection. The hotspot uses 802.11n wireless connection.
It comes with a default password which you can change by using the Huawei HiLink app.
I found during the test that I could remain connected to TrueMove 4G's network on the go. The connection speed varied along with the locations. At the peak, I could achieve download speed of over 35 Mbps and the upload speed of over 20 Mbps. For example, I tested it in the Angsila area of Chon Buri and got the download speed of 39.72 Mbps.
True distributes 4G Car WiFi modem/hotspot for Bt2,290 for the five-device version and Bt2,790 for 10-device model. If you subscribe to a 4G iNet package costing Bt799 per month and up, you will be given a 50-per cent discount for the 4G Car WiFi.
TrueMove H recommends its 4G Share Net package, which allows Internet connection for several devices and has a starting monthly fee of Bt899, for the Car WiFi modem/hotspot.
